Bhangman for Commodore 64
A downloadable game
Bhangman64 is a computer version of the popular game Hangman. It was originally programmed by Alberto Sgaggero on the Commodore VIC-20 (to participate in the Hangman Challenge Game promoted by the Facebook group Retro Programmers Inside) and later converted for the Commodore 64.
You can find the VIC-20 version of the game on this page: https://fourseasons.itch.io/bhangman.
The objective of the game is to deduce a word, chosen from a small database of 80 terms emblematic of "retro-computer" culture, thereby saving the C=64-man from an impending explosion.
How to play
At the title screen, press the space bar. Your C=64 will then think of a word for you to guess.
On the gameplay screen, select a letter from A to Z by pressing the corresponding key on your ergonomic keyboard.
If the letter is in the word, continue, you are well on your way to guessing the entire word!
If the letter isn't in the word, the fuse shortens, and after just 10 errors... BOOM!
If the letter has already been chosen, don't worry, your beloved C=64 will promptly inform you.
Have fun!
Install instructions
Click on download now. You'll get a "D64" file.
You can play the file using the VICE emulator (https://vice-emu.sourceforge.io/).
Download and install VICE. Run the C=64 emulator (X64SC).
From the emulator menu, choose: "File -> Smart attach," then select the "D64" file.
Press the "autostart" key.
Too complicated? Try dragging and dropping the "D64" file directly onto the emulator window.
That should work. :)

Great new hangman-game, I came up with the word the first time I played it. I've also included it in my new video along with other recently released games. Hope you like it.
Thank you very much for your message! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game, and thanks including it in your video. :)
