MSX bHangman for MSX computers
A downloadable game
NOTE: If you'd like, you can try the game online on the WebMSX emulator page (developed by Paulo A. Peccin) by clicking on the following link: MSX bHangman on WebMSX Emulator.
MSX bHangman is a MSX computer version of the popular game Hangman. It was programmed by Alberto Sgaggero to partake in the Hangman Challenge Game promoted by the Facebook group Retro Programmers Inside.
The game is a port of the VIC20 version originally called bHangman.
The objective of the game is to deduce a word, chosen from a small database consisting of 170 terms emblematic of "retro-computer" culture, thereby saving the Penguin-man from an impending TNT explosion.
How to play?
At start, your spectacular MSX will think of a word for you to guess, then you can start to select a letter from A to Z by pressing the corresponding key on your marvelous MSX keyboard.
The letter is in the word? Continue, you are well on your way to guess the entire word!
The letter isn't in the word? The fuse shortens, and after just 10 errors... BOOM!
Has the letter already been chosen? Fear not, it's not a mistake, and your nice MSX will promptly inform you.
Have fun!
